Over the years, TOWNLAND has created an impressive track record in Urban Renewal and Revitalisation projects in Hong Kong and throughout Asia. In partnership with local stakeholders, in depth studies of the Site Areas has been carried out by TOWNLAND’s planners and designers to develop strategies and concept plans to promote urban renewal and revitialisation.
An integrated approach seeks to identify specific spatial and socio-economic problems at an early stage and allows for innovative and practical design solutions to be formulated, ensuring successful implementation of the development proposals. Our work in urban renewal has encompassed the development of policies and strategies for the upgrading of obsolete areas (i.e. redundant industrial sites) and the upgrading and modernization of public housing areas through to the revitalization of cultural precincts.
