Project Description

TOWNLAND formulated Urban Design for the City Core in Yuxi, Yunnan Province, PRC. This Design follows the “Three-Lakes Ecological Urban Cluster” development strategy to combine with the planning of a flood prevention system to develop a cultural region within the “5 mountain and 1 village” ecological concept. The Study Area includes the whole of the greater Yuxi Region, including the City Core and City Clusters nearby. To adequately preserve the heritage of the Old City Quarter, TOWNLAND adopted the “4R” concept, including Preservation, Rehabilitation, Revitalisation and Redevelopment. Taking references from other international cases, the design will strengthen Yuxi’s position as the most liveable and pleasant ecological City.
