Project Description

A Consortium formed by Reliance ADA Limited along with Veolia Transport (France) and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), commissioned TOWNLAND to develop the Concept Architecture for the Mass Rapid Transit System Stations. The Metro Line is to be constructed along an 11.34 km long elevated viaduct, and will comprise 12 Transit Rail Stations along the Versova-
Andheri-Ghatkopar Corridor within Mumbai, India.

Two standard design Options were developed which were applied to nine of the Transit Stations. In addition to this, designs for three individual Transit Stations were also developed which will act as signature landmark buildings at significant points along the new Metro Line.
