Indonesia 20th Anniversary Celebrations | August 2019
Recently PT Townland International celebrated its 20th Anniversary in Indonesia with a two day event with all of our friends, clients and business partners. To underscore our planning and design philosophy about promoting a pedestrian friendly, outdoor lifestyle, we chose to do things a bit differently and held all our events outside at the Grand Pavilion in Arkadia Green Park in Jakarta, Indonesia, which features a landscape fittingly redesigned by the TOWNLAND team a few years ago. The celebrations comprised of two days of exhibitions, workshops, thematic talkshows and networking.
The Exhibition formed a curated showcase of TOWNLAND’s best Landscape, Master Planning and Urban Design projects over the past 20 years in Indonesia and in the wider region. During the Talkshows, we welcomed a panel of experts, who presented their insights in the Design of Walkable Cities, Tourism Destinations and Sustainable Green Open Spaces. During the second day, a Workshop was held for young professionals and university students on the topic of Transit Oriented Development.
We were happy to welcome so many of our friends, clients and business partners to the Exhibition and Talkshows, who toasted with us to fruitful collaborations for the next 20 years and beyond.
We closed the celebrations with a planting ceremony and donated over 500 Bougainvillea Plants for various pedestrian bridges across the Jl. Sudirman Boulevard in the heart of Jakarta; a symbolic contribution to greening the City of Jakarta. We picked this location for this CSR activity as it is located within the section of Jl. Jend. Sudirman Boulevard for which TOWNLAND prepared full landscape design services, including detail design and construction inspections. We hope the Bougainvilleas help to further beautify the public realm of the City.
