Project Description

TOWNLAND was commissioned by the Summarecon Agung Group to undertake the Landscape Design of Emerald Cove. Located at the new emerging Township in Summarecon Serpong, Tangerang, Indonesia, Emerald Cove serves as one of the most exclusive residential clusters within the area.

TOWNLAND’s design strategy is to preserve, as much as possible, the existing trees on Site. This strategy correlates with the plan of Summarecon Serpong to sell lots only within the cluster and to encourage buyers to keep the trees on their property and to integrate their housing with the existing trees. The ambience of an exotic and luxurious tropical resort is achieved in the landscape themes developed for this cluster. This is represented by the grand design of the Main Gateway that combines lush greenery in the form of striking planting arrangements on a vast wall cascade, a stunning water feature, fine-detailed artworks and an outstanding lighting sculpture. A large communal garden is created to the rear of the Gateway, where most of the existing trees are being preserved, which acts as a fascinating green backdrop for the entrance. A continuous jogging track winds along pleasant green spines with direct views towards the Golf Course. With the meandering design of the roadway and the emphasis of the design towards establishing a pedestrian friendly environment, the comprehensive landscape design ensures the emergence of a most relaxing and pleasant place to live.
