Synergy Anniversary – Tiny House Prototype | July 2024
In March 2024, Synergy Developer Indonesia (Synergy) held the Synergy Green Building Festival at the Townhall in Indonesia Design District – PIK 2, in celebration of their 5th Anniversary. Synergy is a Non-Profit Community consisting of 500+ Indonesian National Developers and 300+ Indonesian Consulting Companies, Suppliers and Contractors. The event featured a Gala Dinner, a Green Products Exhibition and a Green Development Talkshow involving various Professional Planning and Design Associations in Indonesia, as well as delegations from different Universities.
In addition to TOWNLAND’s appointment as the Lead Designer for the Layout Planning and Design of the ±1,300m2 event space which was designed around the concept of an “Enchanting Forest”, TOWNLAND was also appointed as the Lead Designer for a prototype Tiny House made of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), a negative carbon material and featuring green and sustainable technology. The Tiny House, was built in collaboration with Hiraka as the Contractor and aims to raise the awareness of Indonesian National Developers on the need to reduce global warming by implementing green materials and technologies into the development of their buildings.
The 27m2 Tiny House was constructed using advanced technology which made it possible to build it in less than 24 hours. The house features a compact room arrangement and amenities to fulfil the daily needs of its inhabitants. The bedroom is located on the mezzanine floor, whilst the ground floor accommodates a living room with an open pantry and a dining island, as well as a bathroom with a green bathtub and a terrace. This showcase house has demonstrated how green and sustainable materials can be used alongside green technology to create an interesting development product, which can be readily accepted by the property market.
