Successful Rationalisation of Land Use and Rezoning in Wanchai

TOWNLAND was commissioned by Hopewell Holdings Limited to seek permission from the TOWN PLANNING BOARD to rezone an “Open Space” zone in Wan Chai to “Commercial” zone to rationalize the current zoning / land use pattern by means of a Section 12A Submission under the Town Planning Ordinance.  The Rezoning was sought to reflect and consolidate on eight Section 16 Planning Approvals obtained by TOWNLAND in 2007 and 2008 for the Site (i.e. for in-situ conversions on 2/F, 3/F, 5/F, 6/F, 7/F, 8/F, 10/F, 20 – 22/F, 23/F, 25/F, 26/F, 28/F and 29/F of the existing Office Building for “Shop and Services” and “Eating Place” uses),

TOWNLAND was responsible for coordination and preparation of theS12APlanning Submission and liaison with the relevant Government Departments to secure the BOARD’s approval of the Rezoning Request.
