Planning Approvals for an Integrated Complex for the School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM), including Teaching Facilities, High-end Teaching Hotel and Staff Quarters

TOWNLAND was initially commissioned to obtain planning approval for redevelopment of an ex-staff quarters building at Science Museum Road for a new teaching hotel, teaching facilities and reprovisioned staff quarters. The Proposed Development is intended to enhance educational resources and training opportunities for students, thus helping to develop the tourism resource base in Hong Kong. The Teaching Hotel, which will function to all intents and purposes as a high-end hotel, will also meet a growing demand for visitor accommodation in a key tourist area.  The Proposed Development will give a new face to the Tsim Sha Tsui East area and give SHTM the visibility of the World-class institution that it is.  TOWNLAND was responsible as Submitting Agent for coordinating the work of the Consultants, preparing planning statements and liaison with relevant Government Departments to secure consecutive Planning Approvals for the Development.
