Townland Consultants (International) Ltd.
was established in 1992 to manage the
increasing number of commissions being
undertaken overseas and in recognition
of our long term commitment to Asia and
the South Pacific. Our Jakarta Office
was opened in 1996 and our Shenzhen Office
in 2002. In 2000 PT Townland International
(Indonesia) and in 2002 Townland Consultants
(Shenzhen) Ltd (Mainland China) were established
in recognition of our growing Clientele
in Indonesia and Mainland China.
TCL employs highly
qualified staff with extensive international
experience in the Public and Private Sectors
and in the Aid Agency community, [particularly
the Asian Development Bank (ADB), World
Bank (WB) and European Union (EU)]. Our
professional staff, both local and international,
are guided by experienced Directors/ Managers
and have the benefit of substantial in-house
support centres. Our staff resources include
a Planning and Social Development Department
and an Urban Design/Master Planning/ Landscape
Department with over 40 professional staff
in Planning, Design and Soft Sector Specialisations;
a GIS Department; an ISO Department (ISO
9001:2000); an IT/ Autocad/ Graphics Department;
and a full range of technical and support
staff amounting to a total of around 70
staff. TCL also has inhouse capability
specific to Social Accountability Management
Systems (SA 8000) and was awarded membership
of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO)
in November 2002.
We have
strong working associations with professional
planning and related consultancy firms and
individuals overseas. We maintain a large
database of individual International Consultants
in various disciplines. Our strong in-house
professional team is characterised by staff
with extensive international planning experience
including work in Hong Kong, Mainland China,
Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Fiji, Taiwan,
Tuvalu, Laos, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Thailand,
Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Macau, Zambia,
Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Cameroon,
Barbados, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Trinidad,
Tobago, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Egypt,
Nigeria, the United Kingdom, France, Australia,
New Zealand, Spain, Canada, the United States
of America and South Africa. Notably all
the professionals in our Company originate
from or have lived and worked in Asia over
a long period.
