An Ecological Holiday Town

TOWNLAND prepared a Conceptual Master Plan for Tie Shan Si National Forest Park (7,058 ha), which is to become the holiday resort of Jiangsu Region. The main design concept is for an Ecological Holiday Town with resort property development, tourist information centre and other supporting facilities. All the major developments are concentrated in a non-environmentally sensitive area allowing for protection of the rest of the Forest Park.

A low-rise high-density compact development pattern was proposed for the central township to fully utilize the natural resources of the scenic Tie Shan Si area. Integrated with resort type residential development at an appropriate scale, a new resort community is proposed as the core to attract higher income groups for holidays, leisure or retirement and to promote the tourism development of Huai’an City.  TOWNLAND received SECOND PRIZE for this Project.
