Description
The
objective of the Study was to
ensure that in any new development
adjacent to landfills, landfill
gas hazard is adequately addressed
in the early planning stage
and proper safeguards are incorporated
into the design by the project
proponents. TCL was responsible
for the preparation of a Practice
Note and Guidelines for use
by development companies and
architects. TCL was also responsible
on an on-going basis for the
evaluation of development proposals
in areas potentially affected
by landfill gas hazards. |
