TOWNLAND's experience in this area originally developed from requests to review large scale developments/New Town proposals in the Region where “enthusiastic” design inputs may not have embodied a rational or sound planning approach. TOWNLAND believes that post evaluation of proposals is a critical step to ensure that the proposals have met their intended goals. TOWNLAND has established techniques to systematically evaluate and quantify the degree to which policies, plans and guidelines meet stated goals. We use objective criteria agreed with the Client, and also assess the perception of relevant stakeholders using controlled methods.
