Project Description

The proposed new railway routes in the New Territories will have a significant impact on the existing public transport systems, particularly buses. The Study aims to evaluate this impact and to explore opportunities for close integration of the services. TCL were responsible for the generation of demographic data within the catchment areas of the new railways for the purposes of trip generation. For new development areas this information was required at a detailed level, requiring the disaggregation of zonal data using sources such as development programmes and plans.
